PPNZ has voluntarily adopted the code of Conduct for Collecting Societies which operates in Australia.
PPNZ also follows a transparent distribution policy for its members, and publishes its constitution, authority to act, list of recording artists and labels it represents on this website.
PPNZ, where economically possible, also adopts and follows the best practice recommendations of IFPI and regularly benchmarks itself vis-a-vis best practice with its main counterpart organisations, particularly PPLUK (United Kingdom), PPCA (Australia) and Re: Sound (Canada).
